A Signature member with the North Carolina Watercolor Society and South Carolina Watercolor Society, earning her Master Watercolor status in NC, Susan is an established, experienced and award winning artist originally from Lancaster, SC. She earned her Bachelors of Fine Art from Columbia College and post graduate work at the University of SC.
As a former art teacher in Raleigh, Greenville and Lexington, SC area for public and private education, she also instructed the summer programs at Artspace, The United Arts Council of Raleigh, and was affiliated with Arts Uniq’ whom published many of her paintings.
Susan’s passion for beauty and nature are expressed in her colorful watercolors which have been exhibited in galleries and won numerous awards in juried exhibitions throughout the United States. This is her preferred medium; however, she has explored acrylic abstracts, collage, and mixed media.
A past artist with Artspace since its inception, and with Artsource, Gallery C, Village Art Gallery, she presently paints in her home studio in NW Raleigh.
2D work must be NO LARGER THAN 13 X 13", including mat and frame.
3D work must be NO LARGER THAN 12” in any dimension.
In addition, a series of Honorable Mention Awards and category specific awards will be awarded at the juror's discretion.
CGA reserves the right to reject any work that does not meet their standards.
Jury results will be posted to the Cary Gallery of Artists website at www.carygalleryofartists.org by March 13, 2025.
DELIVERY & PICKUP OF ARTWORK
Accepted entries must be delivered to Cary Gallery of Artists on March 21 & 22, 11:00 - 4:30 pm.
Hand delivery is the preferred method of delivery. Shipped work must be securely packed in a reusable container and include a prepaid UPS or FedEx shipping label or account number. If shipping, please arrange for your package to arrive on March 27 or 28. Work packed in foam packing peanuts will not be accepted.
Pick up unsold artwork April 22 & 23,11:00-4:30 pm.
Early delivery or late pick-up is discouraged due to storage limitations so please be sure to deliver and pick up your artwork within the specified time period.
COMMISSIONS, SALES, LIABILITY
All artwork submitted must be for sale. Cary Gallery of Artists will retain a 40% commission on all exhibition sales. Artists whose artwork is sold during the exhibit will be notified. Artwork must stay on display until close of exhibit. Although reasonable care will be given to handling all works, the gallery will not be responsible for any loss or damage.
