Born and raised in the mountains of West Virginia, I now live in Apex, North Carolina. Although educated as a microbiologist, I've been developing my artistic skills for many years - through practice, experimentation, workshops, online courses, and critiques with other artists. Though generally glad to be an adult, I've returned to the simple wonderment, childlike curiosity, and occasional foolishness that maturity usually represses.

I love exploring color, texture, and design, using acrylics and mixed media. My work is inspired by nature, emotions, scientific images, words and phrases. I want to create visual experiences that alter your perspective. Experiences that cause you to pause, that expand your imagination and inspire your curiosity.
